The Step 2 clinical Skills (CS) is a separate “hands-on” exam that tests the examinee’s clinical & communication skills through his /her ability to gather information from standardized patients, perform a physical examination, communicate the finding to the patient and write a patient note.

The cases cover common and important situations that a physician is likely to encounter in clinics, doctors’ offices, emergency departments, and hospital settings in the United States.
