University scholarships
Every university in the country offers a package of bursaries, scholarships and grants. Each differs widely from the next and all depend on a variety of individual circumstances. The University of Sunderland offers a very attractive package of support to students, details of which can be found below.
Sunderland Support Package
The University will be offering THREE bursaries/scholarships for full-time students who commence their studies in 2009.

A means-tested bursary of £525 per year for those students who have a household income of less than £39,305;

A Progression/Success Scholarship totalling £965 that is split over a three-year course, irrespective of household income, but subject to academic progress;
-
An extra 'Partnership Bursary' of £525 per year for students who are registered on a University of Sunderland undergraduate course, but studying it at one of our partner colleges.
These bursaries and scholarships are paid automatically by the University to its students. There is no application process necessary.
