I warmly welcome you to the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM).
Founded in 1964 by the Singapore Economic Development Board, SIM is one of Singapore’s oldest and finest private education organisations. As an independent not-for-profit professional membership organisation, SIM boasts a strong network of about 27,000 individual and corporate members, including all our students.
For more than 40 years, the SIM brand has become synonymous with comprehensive, industry-relevant learning programmes, quality delivery, and excellent teaching standards. SIM is privileged to be in partnership with ten prestigious international universities, offering a comprehensive range of more than 50 academic programmes at postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma and certificate levels.
Quality and excellence have always been at the top of SIM’s agenda. In 2002, SIM was only one of two educational organisations to receive the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) in recognition of its business excellence. In 2003, SIM attained the Singapore Quality Class for Private Education Organisations, an enhanced SQC recognition for the education sector.
All SIM programmes adhere strictly to the academic standards, processes and procedures set and validated by all our university partners. SIM students can be assured of the outstanding education they deserve and the prestige of a degree they can take pride in.
Our facilities and learning resources at SIM Headquarters, which include state-of-the-art educational infocomm technology, student care and services, and a full range of programmes and activities aimed at grooming and developing our students, make our campus the ideal environment for nurturing sharp minds and developing talent.

Scholarship, Sponsorships and Training Funds
To promote lifelong learning, the Institute offers scholarships to existing and new students for studies at certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
SIM has been offering scholarships and study awards to deserving students for a long time. In line with its social mission, SIM University gives out scholarships, sponsorships and study awards worth up to $1million a year. SIM Global Education also recently launched a $500,000 per year scholarship programme. As a group, SIM awards more than $1.8million worth of scholarships and study awards.
The categories of scholarships are: academic excellence and leadership, sports and artistic talent and education abroad. The education abroad category is part of a larger and concerted ‘SIM Global Education Study Abroad’ programme that looks at providing overseas studies opportunities for both inbound and outbound students. For outbound students, they can choose to do an exchange programme with any of our six reputable partner universities (eg. University of California, Berkeley) in Asia, Europe or America over a 3-6 week period. For the inbound programme, students from our overseas partner universities will get to come to SIM for their summer exchange programme.
