Our student’s Experience @ Kaplan |
|
Dear Taranjot Madam,
Regards, |
|
Due to my prior engagements I could only manage to come to Chopra’s a week prior to my IELTS test. With some tips I began my preparation and took mock tests with Radhika Ma’am. Mocks with her cleared a lot of myths about writing and speaking test and she pointed out my weak areas. Since time was scarce, she guided me end to end so that I could manage well with out panic. What’s more, she also advised on how to handle speaking test and what the instructors are expecting. It was surprising for me and fruitful indeed as I scored 8 in Speaking. Very few people would acknowledge that little information about the center, location etc, can also mean a lot of help. She did exactly that, which speaks highly of her experience and commitment.
Memorable moments It sounds funny if you think of having memorable moments while preparing and test taking! But I indeed have one. I took the written test first; reading and listening were superb but writing test’s timing went bad. Exams have that effect and as I came out I panicked. I called up Radhika Ma’am immediately to tell her about my test. She reassured me that it was not a big deal and that it would all be fine, and that I must now focus on the speaking test. I had 5 hours before the speaking test. The fear of writing test grew on me and I freaked out. I made a panic call to her again and requested her for Mock tests over the phone! With a couple of tests I was back to normal. Her tips helped me tremendously during the test. I could see it working. I was so sure of my speaking test score. This kind of effort from her rises above professionalism and speaks of the personal interest that Ma’am took in my performance. This is when you know you are in right hands.
Thanks Chopras and Thank you Ma’am.
Cheers IELTS : 8.5 overall |

A few things I would like to share with you and everyone else would be.
1) Students should give the diagnostic test before anything else.. so they know how much they need to prepare...and choose the course accordingly (I upgraded my Step1 course from 4 months to 10 months).
2) Also please put emphasis on all paper work of USMLE exams before coming to US.. so that they dont waste time behind it when they are studying (lot of paper work to apply for ECFMG APPLICATION, they also require college stamps and dean signature).
3) The KAPLAN staff here in the US are very caring and co-operative.
Thanks once again for your support and for thinking of me.
take care

I had registered with the Chopras for the GMAT test preparation course. It
was a truly wonderful experience. The faculty as well as the counsellors were
extremely helpful. They were always available to help me with my doubts or
to guide me whenever needed. |

Dear KAPLAN - Chopras |
|
|
Hello, I gave my GMAT on 10th March 2010 and for that I started classes from December 2009 at Kaplan. I started off with the Verbal Section Under Divya Mam first. Divya Mam was very helpful and supportive and it was in these classes that I regained my confidence in my control over the English language. The Quantitative section classes started off in January. Gautam Sir took the classes. He was very dedicated towards clearing the concept of students and by giving additional 'trick questions' in the class, he would make sure that our foundation of the topic became strong. When he believed that the foundation has been laid, he would give tougher questions to make sure we were not caught off guard in the actual exam.
Advice to any prospective student
i) Pay attention in classes ii) Practice on the PLS iii) Thoroughly go through the OG iv) Give the GMAT Prep exams. That's all!

Hello, I took coaching from "The Chopras" (Kaplan) for taking the GMAT. It was a very pleasant experience. The faculty was always helpful and encouraging and provided personal attention for achieving the best results. Their efforts, coupled with the vast and very relevant online resources such as quizzes and mock GMATs enabled me to get 750 in the test and subsequently get selected to my dream B school. Thank you very much Kaplan. Regards, GMAT : 750/800 |

Hello, TOEFL : 91 |

Hello,
|
|
| I have received my USMLE STEP One Score report. I got a 237/99. I would like to thank you and all the others at Kaplan Centre Chennai for their help and support. The Kaplan study material and the study atmosphere at the centre in Chennai played a very big role in helping me get a high score. I have decided to enroll at Kaplan for the Step 2 and other exams so that I may repeat the same performance in the future. Thank you. Amin Pasha |

I joined The Chopras with only a month to go for the SAT exams. Even though the time left was short, the institute helped me immensely, from getting the essay format right to improving my analytical skills and even adjusted the class to suit my timings. The environment there was great and the teachers awesome. My English teacher Ishani Nandi improved my writing and verbal skills and my maths teacher Jasmeen helped me improve my weak topics in maths. They were the ones who helped me get a score of 2000 in SAT. I will always be grateful to the Institue and the staff of The Chopras for their contribution.

I attribute my success at the GMAT to the team at The Chopras. The verbal faculty, Adrina and the math faculty, Gautam proved to be excellent teachers. They encouraged me all along. Particu larly, Adri na helped me dispel my fears about the essays. Her feedback helped me improve my score on test day . Gautam patiently solved all my doubts , even when I went back to him with the same problem.
The Kaplan material was a systematic, well organized study guide for me. The online PLS got me acquainted with the computer based format of the test. It would be unfair if I did not mention Arpita, who counseled me the first day that I walked in. Thank you JO Bhaiya for the coffee that kept me going through my preparation.
I owe my good score to the Kaplan team and the ir efforts at turning out the best in me. From the day when I joined classes to the day before the test when I walked out with your good wishes, thank you for making the GMAT journey so smooth for me. Your smiles kept my efforts going.

It’s just 6 days. Yes, 6 days from the day I gave my GRE. Still it seems like an eternity, because life which revolved around visiting the office in Sec-17 (The Chopras) has now changed. And most of all, my interactions with the teachers is what I miss. Although it was a bumpy ride for me (not because of the teachers but because of my own commitments and my poor vocabulary), the teachers, or what should I call them mentors, may be were supportive throughout the way. It is almost impossible to express in the words, but alone in such for words, how caring the faculty was. Let’s just say, The Chopras was like a family. They altered their schedule to suit my needs. If you are looking for someone who cares for you and still knows when to put their foot down, then your search ends here. And yeah, the best part, “you get a chocolate when you get your GRE scores”. Yippee!!

My experience at The Chopras has been pretty good. I came to know about them through the internet and as promised the quality of guidance has been as I expected it to be. The service provided to me was top class. But the best part is their faculty. I believe that this is the most important thing and that is what I was looking for. Being from an engineering background English has always been an issue with me but the faculty helped me with the material and advice on timely basis.
All in all a good experience and definitely a good place for those who want to pursue their studies abroad. The only advise could be to open more centers in other cities of Punjab.
